Museum of Flying

Taking the controls of the Flight Simulator was epic.. more like a belly laugh experience. Given 2 options - ocean/city scenic view or aerial dog fighting. I'm the adventurous one when comes to flying but my co-pilot, Cuzn Maryann is definitely a ground person. So we took the ocean/city scenic view flight. I think our pre-flight instructor was speed teaching certified. After the hellos and fastening our seat belts, he began to instruct and our minds went blank. Oh, oh.....the door closed and we both looked at each other. For the life of us, we could not get a lift off from the runaway. We were slamming into airplanes, buildings, trees, cars and what not. We were screaming and laughing so loud. Control tower kept asking us if we were OK. Finally, we got the hand of it...then time was up. That is one flight experience to remember.  FYI - the video was the flight before ours.

Whale watching expedition Aug2014

A school of dolphins joined our whale watching expedition boat - "the 3 hour tour" after we left the Marina Del Rey breakwater. It was an AWESOME sight...!!! My video trigger finger was not quick enough to capture the beauty of the blue whales coming up for air. Earned my "sea legs" badge that day.
